No. 2 — The Cook

Every good cook needs a strong quality towel designed specifically to perform cooking tasks. Our No. 2 Cook towel is flat because that’s the best weave structure to aid in cooking and baking. It is also thick enough that it won’t tear and it’s made from natural, unbleached cotton so that it’s soft and absorbent. You can use it to cover rising dough (you don’t want the flour and dough getting into towel loops. It will be so hard to clean up) You can use it to squeeze grated potatoes, zucchini or spinach to get the liquid out so that fritters or quiches or casseroles won’t be soggy. (I designed our towel to be sturdy enough so it won't tear as you squeeze!) I also love to place our cook towel between the lid and pot when cooking rice. The towel absorbs the steam as the rice cooks and helps to keep it fluffy. Its a great method. Give it a try. There are a many other uses for a flat kitchen towel. You can also use it as a napkin or line bread baskets with it.
