The Tastiest way to Cook Broccoli
This method of cooking broccoli is my go-to. I cook broccoli like this twice a week on average. It’s a simple, quick recipe and the broccoli comes out jade green, perfectly cooked, garlicky, buttery and fully flavored every time. The kids gobble it up. What more could one ask for. Pay attention to the details. They matter.
- 1-2 heads of broccoli, cut into bite sized florets
- 5-6 garlic cloves, sliced thin
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- A knob of butter (or vegan butter)
Place garlic In a large deep sided frying pan, add about an inch of water and the salt. Place the broccoli in the pan, cover and cook on high until you see stem coming out of the sides. Continue cooking for one minute. Open the lid, add the butter, and close it right up. Wait another minute. Eat.
